A 100-mile mountain ultra with 9,500m vertical in the Catalan Pyrenees.
The Course
A 160km loop through the Catalan Pyrenees from Bagà, crossing the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park and the iconic Pedraforca massif (2,506m). The route links ancient shepherd paths, mountain refuges, and high passes above 2,300m through one of the most dramatic mountain landscapes in southern Europe. Technical rocky trail, steep grass slopes, and exposed ridgeline traverses demand mountain running experience. The cumulative elevation gain exceeds 9,500m — serious Pyrenean vertical.

Lore & Trivia
Ultra Pirineu's 100-mile variant pushes deep into the Catalan Pyrenees, circling the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park and the Pedraforca massif — a distinctive twin-peaked mountain that is the symbol of Catalan mountaineering. The 160km course crosses high passes above 2,300m through terrain that is wilder and more remote than the shorter 110K version, with fewer aid stations and longer stretches between support. The race has deep roots in Catalan mountain culture: the Pyrenees are where Catalonia's identity was forged, and running these mountains is an act of cultural connection as much as athletic endeavour. Kilian Jornet's family founded the race series, and his presence looms over every edition.
- ▸ 9,500m of climbing makes this one of the most vertical 100-milers in Europe.

- ▸ Established in 2014.
- ▸ Total elevation gain: 9500m.
